![]() When it comes to balancing the railgun, they should probably make it so you need to play very precisely with it if you want to do well. I like to switch to m14 after 2 Xbow shots and stun to finish it off, but usually i only get a shot or two in before it wakes up. Currently if you don't use the stun skill, it will stun it after the 2nd shot. Crossbow currently needs 3 bolts to kill scrake. Stun duration should be increased a little, 1.5 seconds maybe? and crossbow should get a damage buff. ![]() Buff it a little so you only need 12 shots maybe. M14 could use a small damage buff, right now it needs around 14 headshots with the crouch skill to take down an fp. Maybe decreasing weight and damage so you no longer 1 shot Scrake and 2 shot Fleshpound but you can carry both M14 and Railgun? (price and stunning power could be tweaked to accommodate the change). I don't want it to be horribly handled like KF1 M99 but the current state of it is not really fun. For the railgun, I actually don't know how to balance it. Also M14 could use a bump in damage and stumbling power (you cannot flinch in KF2 but repeated stumbling could work). Increasing the price of Crossbow to 1000 dosh in exchange for a better stunning power (In Killing Floor 1, Sharpshooter has no discount for Crossbow and Crossbow can be considered a tier 3/4 weapon, moving KF2 Crossbow from tier 2 to tier 3 would be better imo as the LAR is very strong and you don't really need a 650 dosh tier 2 in early waves). My suggestion is to improve the Crossbow stunning power. And unlike the M99 in Killing Floor 1, you can carry the Winchester in KF2 to complement the Railgun. The current Killing Floor 2 Sharpshooter forces people to ignore 2 iconic weapons while favoring an incredible powerful tier 4. Around 8 headshots to kill Scrake and 12 headshots to kill Fleshpound with M14 in Killing Floor 1 and you can kill them during their rage animation. LAR/Musket can also stun Scrake and take out Scrake in 5 to 6 shots. For fleshpound, you have to be very careful with Crossbow and need teammates to cover you before Fleshpound reaches you. Crossbow can repeatedly stun Scrake with headshots and take out Scrake in 2 or 3 shots. That takes the fun and challenges away from playing a skillful class like Sharpshooter.īack in Killing Floor 1, there are 2 common loadout for Sharpshooters. So every match, it's just Sharpshooter crouching with Railgun and killing Scrake in 1 shot and Fleshpound in 2 shots. The Ballistic Shock skill has been ignored in favor of Stability for the crouching damage. You cannot repeatedly stun the big zeds so most Sharpshooters on HoE have switched to Winchester + Railgun after wave 5. Too bad the stun duration was too short and by the time I pull out my M14, the big zed is already in its rage animation and charging at me. After the update, I thought the combo for Sharpshooter should be stunning Scrake/Fleshpound with Crossbow then pulling out the M14 to chain headshot. ![]() However with the new change to stun duration on Scrake and Fleshpound (both are 1.2 s and you cannot repeatedly stun Scrake/Fleshpounds), Sharpshooter playstyle has changed into a worse way in my opinion.įirst of all, the Crossbow still remain underpowered. Railgun auto lock damage was nerfed and M14 stunning power was decreased, which is a step in the right direction. There was no satisfaction playing the perk due to how easy it was to handle Scrake/Fleshpoung with the M14 (most people didn't even buy Railgun and just bought extra M14). However the initial Sharpshooter was incredibly OP with M14 ultra high stunning power and Railgun auto-lock full damage. I was a fan of Sharpshooter in Killing Floor 1 and was really excited when Tripwire decided to release him during the Bullseye update. ![]()
